Científicos revelan una manera fácil y eficaz de prolongar la vida

Una de cada 12 muertes podría evitarse con 30 mintuos de actividad fisica cinco dias a la semana. Esa es la conclusión del mayor estudio dedicado a la materia, informa el portal de la revista “New Scientist”

Las conclusiones de los científicos, que han analizado datos de más de 130.000 personas en 17 países, resumen siete años de observaciones a los participantes voluntarios. Al inicio del estudio, los participantes proporcionaron información sobre su situación socioeconómica, estilo de vida e historial médico. A cada participante se le siguió durante varios años para registrar si padecieron enfermedades cardiovasculares o fallecieron.

La principal conclusión es que las personas que dedican más de 750 minutos a la semana caminando rápido, el riesgo de muerte prematura se reduce en un 36%. Según los científicos, no es necesario correr, nadar o ir al gimnasio, basta con limpiar la casa o ir caminando al trabajo. Si todo el mundo siguiera estas recomendaciones, entonces se podría prevenir el 8% de las muertes en siete años.

Según ‘New Scientist’, la Organización Mundial de la Salud aconseja a las personas de 18 a 64 años de edad realizar cada semana al menos 150 minutos de actividad física moderada y dedicar dos días a ejercicios de fortalecimiento muscular.
